Audio Visual Installation
Experience Light Organ, a captivating audio reactive art work that brings sound to life. Created for Bradford Cathedral in 2021, Light Organ now finds a home in Leeds Art Gallery.
“We wanted to create something uplifting and playful - something to encourage people to experiment and share our love of light.”
Constructed from 38 customised acrylic pipes, this large scale installation uses microphones to turn sounds into a sculptural array of light influenced by its viewers. Visitors are encouraged to use the microphones in the installation to activate the light. Sing, talk, clap - make a sound to create with the Light Organ.
Created by Artists Adam Glatherine and Akeelah Bertram and Creative Technologist Simon Fletcher. Light Night performances by Musicians Thabo Mkwananzi and Aron Kyne with Poets Phenicia Jay and Ginalda Tavares.
